House Training a New Dog

Do you have a new dog that keeps using the "potty" where he's not supposed to? If you're reading this, I'd imagine that the answer to that question is yes.

This is the sort of problem that can make the joy of dog ownership quickly turn into a nightmare. Obviously it's the sort of thing that something has to be done about as soon as possible. But what can be done?

You could hire a professional dog trainer to try to train your dog not to use the bathroom inside of the house but that would likely cost you a lot of money. Professional dog training sessions can cost over an hour! Imagine how quickly that would add up if your dog needed 10 training sessions to learn? That would be over 0!

For most people that's just way too much to spend.

You will be better off house training your new dog yourself. Not only will it be much cheaper but it's likely it will be far more effective if you learn the best techniques. You see, dogs often only learn to behave in a certain way at a certain place or in front of certain people. So what if your dog learns to behave correctly in front of your professional dog trainer at the dog trainer's center but he does not learn the correct behavior in front of you in your own house! That wouldn't be of much help at all.

You need your dog to trust you and to listen to what you say. That's why its' best for you to learn the proper dog training techniques yourself from a quality dog training guide and be your dog's own " dog trainer." With the right information you can quickly house train your new dog.
